WATCH: Running Around The Globe In 2016

This year I ran on four continents, in eleven countries and in six states, all to prepare for the biggest race of my career, the Boston Marathon.

This was a busy year of running and traveling for me. I’m very grateful to have seen and experienced everything — from the lights of Los Vegas to the lakes of Zurich. I ran by the largest waterfall in the world, in Africa, and up Heartbreak Hill in Massachusetts, during my first Boston Marathon. I spent my year preparing for this race, which is the oldest and most revered marathon in the United States. Only 10 percent of American marathoners are fast enough to qualify for it, according to Runners World. I’ll be running the Boston Marathon again in April, and I’ll be traveling, training and racing to prepare for it. This past year has been filled with some incredible moments and adventures (check them out in my race recap video above!). I’m excited to see what 2017 has in store for me as I continue running around the globe. Thanks for following along. Cheers!

So exciting to see how far you have gone! Inwardly and out. This year I lost 67 pounds, but found keeping it off required a new goal. I have started training for my first marathon at 52 years old. I have a dream of qualifying for Boston 2018 or 2019. Do you have any training tips on line?
